RX450 RIDEABILITY
Beta Motorcycles Australia is excited to announce the release of the MY2024 Beta RX 450.
In 2023, Beta’s project to expand the horizons of RideAbility officially entered the motocross market in Europe, first with the RX 300 two-stroke and now with the king of motocross bikes, the RX 450 four-stroke!It is officially the first four-stroke motocross bike built by the Italian manufacturer; for enthusiasts of all riding abilities, this translates into the first chance to ride the Beta MX bike that is based off of the race prototype that competed in the MXGP World Championship for the last three years.
A race-ready bike in all respects, specifically designed for motocross tracks, the design is completely new from the ground up: the frame, engine and all of the components are of the highest level, and developed with the project brief in mind: to bring new horizons of RideAbility to the MX world. What does RideAbility mean for Beta? It means to design a MX model that appeals to riders of all levels. Beta motorcycles are designed by a team of engineers based in Florence, Italy with a mission to provide all riders with a motocross bike that is easier to ride, while still providing the highest level of performance.
Debuting in the MXGP circuit just a few years ago, the RX 450 prototypes have provided the knowledge that can only come from top-level racing. These early one-off models provided the base layout and design for the production model and will see the RX 450 4T joining its younger brother the RX 300 2T on race tracks all over the world.
The technical design of the RX 450 is totally new and features:Frame: designed from the ground up as an all-new frame that is specifically designed and dedicated for motocross use. The main spar of the frame is wider in design to withstand the stresses from repeated landings, making it much stiffer overall, yet supple enough for cornering. This translates into a precise chassis that provides a planted feeling in corners and a light feeling while in the air.
Rear sub-frame and filter box: The RX 450 has a new aluminium rear sub-frame which provides rigidity to the bike despite its light weight, providing the strength needed for the demanding needs of motocross. This new component is perfectly integrated with the new air filter box and is all-new for the RX 450. The new filter box and air intake, combined with the new 46 mm throttle body, provide a significantly different air flow than that required by an enduro bike, creating optimum air flow to keep up with the performance of the new engine. Access to the filter remains on the left side of the bike, and is extremely easy and intuitive, as well as being tool-free.
Plastic parts: while the front shrouds, recently redesigned for RR models as well, remain unchanged in their form, the rear features a new sleek and aggressive tail which, not being a structural component, fits into the new aluminium rear sub-frame and, as previously mentioned, allows access to the filter box via a convenient connection. The fuel tank is a smaller design and has a capacity of seven litres.Fork and Shock: Kayaba, with 48 mm stanchions at the front and 50 mm piston at the rear. Both components are completely adjustable, and represent an ideal compromise between rideability and performance, thanks to continuous development on the track. The main difference in the suspension compared to the enduro models is the greater travel of the front fork, with specific calibration for motocross, while the shock is completely new. The shock is larger than the one the RR models are equipped with, which provides greater support on landings thanks to greater hydraulic damping, and more consistent performance with demanding use.
The blue anodised wheels are 21” at the front and 19” at the rear, with 90/100-21 and 110/90-19 Maxxis tyres, while the braking system is by Nissin with floating callipers and a 260mm disc on the front and 240mm at the rear. The front brake calliper is a smaller

RX 300 2T is a bike that launched as an exclusive motocross bike for the US market in 2021, as well as in Australia in limited numbers but is completely new for the European market. The success of this project, aided by the ever-growing experience accumulated in the race field inthe MXGP World Championship with the 450 4T, have led the Tuscan brand to open the throttle on the evolution of the bike which today is configured as a fully-fledged motocross bike.
This limited production model will be produced for the first time outside the US & Australia, making the RX 300 2T a unique opportunity to add this bike to your garage, a model which for Beta marks the return to the motocross market and which will open the way for a new range of totally new models arriving soon.
The RX 300 2T is a unique bike in its class, the perfect combination of power and control, and born with a racing spirit due to it being dedicated to the race track. It still features the ease of use typical of the Betamotor family, however, fully focused on fun without compromises.
The all-new RX 300 was designed for the moto-minded rider looking for the style and performance that can only come from Beta of Italy. The “factory bike sound” coming from the muffler sets this model apart from the rest of the brands on the track. Many of the Beta engineers come from a motocross background which allows them to exercise their talents.
The MY24 Beta RX 300 has been specifically developed for motocross riders through its extensive list of features that include:
Engine: the RX 300 offers a high level of performance, especially in the mid-range and top end of the power delivery, yet still providing excellent torque, thus offering an enjoyable and progressive ride which is always under control, focusing on the concept of rideability in all situations.
Crankshaft: this component has been lightened with a reduced diameter married to the engine main cases, exclusive to the RX to provide faster acceleration at higher engine speeds.
Exhaust valve: an adjustable valve giving you the ability to change the power delivery to suit your needs, providing excellent tunability for riders of all abilities.
Carburetor: Keihin PWK38
Fork and shock: are Kayaba (KYB). This suspension package isexclusive to the RX model. Beta engineers worked closely with Kayaba to develop the perfect settings based on the overall RX model’s geometry. The goal was to provide a package stiff enough for the big hits yet supple and soft over the chop that many motocross tracks develop.
The blue anodised wheels are 21” at the front and 19” at the rear, with 80/100-21 and 120/80-19 Michelin Starcross 6 tyres, while the braking system is by Nissin with floating callipers and a 260mm disc on the front and 240mm at the rear.
